Our coat and pant length is based on height. A short is generally used on people under cm, with sleeves up to 32 in. A regular is generally for people between cm and cm, with sleeves of in. A long is generally for people between cm and cm, with sleeves of in. Learn what a good, tailored suit and potentially shirt should feel like. Be sure to remember, shoulders, arm, waist, crotch; these are the main 3 fitted places that should feel "tighter" but not restrictive and definitely comfortable.
Don't compare them to jeans. Try to think, would I wear this for comfortability if it weren't so god damn fancy. Your first suit is important so spend the little extra time to learn about the trade and what to look for.

Yeah, it's all very overwhelming at first. It's really good to know what size jacket you are and your shirt measurements for a good fit. For shirt, remember if you're a normal, slim or extra slim fit it depends how much for a belly you have ; if you got a flat stomach, extra slim, a bit of a bulge, slim fit, a big bulge, normal.
Jack London would be fairly expensive. What's your budget per suit may I ask? Also, remember that you won't be able to get your suit tailored from Tarocash. Normally, the biggest difference between a good suit and a cheap suit is that a cheap suit is glued together can't be tailored while a good suit is sown.
If you do go for a cheap suit, make sure it fits you as is. I know that glue doesn't sound comfortable, but you really won't notice the difference. Another good place to look for suits is anywhere on collins street between elizabeth and king. There's quite a few suit shops around and they're trying to get rid of winter stock before more summer colors get out. This might be a good time to get a really decent black suit that'll last you a long time.
It's probably out of your price range, but figured I'd let you know. There's a lot of other places around which are doing specials as well. My brother goes there for his suits and he's your height and skinny. They tailor them as well, fit my brother very nicely. He's bought all his suits from there. Had to tailor one, but there's a place around the corner.
If u lucky u can get a suit on sale for but average price is closer to Sounds expensive but the quality is very good. Tm Lewin is good too. One good thing is these stores usually have sales people that will know how a suit is meant to fit and have half canvass suits so they sit very well and last. If u like jack London the their is a clearit in Brunswick at that does huge discounts on its stuff. Good for skinny suits but bit of a mixed bag in terms of sizes. Could probably find a full suit for if u get measurements that fit.
I've seen Jack London suits - they're great, albeit a little pricey. The clearance outlet might be good then! Also, if you spend a little less on the suit, spend a little more to have it tailored. Makes all the difference.
